Hello and Welcome!
It's bound to happen sooner than later. Everyone has one or two or three embarrassing photography stories. Here is one of mine.
It was my second ever senior portrait shoot. It was the Bridges twins, Kate and Sarah (who are both happily married now and pursuing their dreams). We went to Waid Park to do the photo shoot and we went over to the waterfall (which I don't think you're supposed to do by the way) to take some pictures. They went up to the top of the falls and I went to the bottom. They positioned themselves just like they wanted to for the first pictures. I stepped out onto a rock to get a better view and I immediately fell to my knees and into the creek. Turns out that the rock I decided to step on had moss all over it. 🤦♂️ My shorts and shoes were soaked but somehow I managed to keep the camera from getting wet.
So we finished that part of the shoot and moved on to another part of the park under the railroad tracks (again, not something that is legal anymore lol). They again got into position for the shots and down I went again!! This time the gravel under my feet gave way and I landed on my knees. In shorts. When I got back up I was bleeding on both knees pretty good and dirty and wet as could be.
All I could do was laugh at that point. I hadn't brought any kind of towel or band aids with me because I didn't figure I would need to pack that as part of my gear. So I had to walk all the way back to the car, which was about 1/4 of a mile through the woods, looking like I had just been in a battle with a small bear cub and lost.
Needless to say I got several strange looks before I reached the car. I should have had one of them take my picture to document the special occasion because I'm sure it was a sight to behold!
What is one of your embarrassing stories? I'd love to hear one of yours so leave a comment!!
