I am always learning something new about photography, pretty much every day. Whether it being something about actually taking the pictures to learning a new editing trick. There are a few photography rules I need to work on to make my picture composition better. I don't practice it very much because I get in too much of a hurry during a session worrying about how many photos I get for my clients.
One thing I need to work on is the "rule of thirds". This is where you divide your picture into a grid of 9 squares and place your subject on one of the intersections. The placement of your subject here will add depth and meaning to your photos.
The other item I need to work on is framing my subjects. With this technique you do what it actually says, frame your subject. You can use tree branches, rainbows and doorways to accomplish this. This one won't work all the time because you may not be in an area where a frame is present.
If I worked on these two items regularly I'm sure my photos would improve.
Maybe I'll start today.
